Office Makeover

When the pandemic hit, my husband and I quickly realized that we were going to have to utilize our office. We both were shuffling around the house when the other had a call and it got old quick. We had an office, time to put it to use! Here is a before picture:

When we first moved in, the whole house was painted a cream color so to make it easy, we just had it all painted gray. I have currently been obsessed with pops of navy so knew I wanted to put some navy into the office. As you know, we love board and batten and shiplap so I knew I wanted to do an accent wall with one of the two. I decided for the office board and batten would be best since the wall was pretty large and it’s cheaper of the two. For steps on building a board and batten wall, see our post here.

For this project, I taped off where I knew the board and batten would go and painted the top portion navy blue. This way I could save myself from painting the whole wall when a portion would be covered.

I was browsing etsy for office decor and saw the three signs I hung. Aren’t they so cute?!? I have linked them here from Divine Digital Prints. I actually had 3 frames laying around that I got on clearance so I bought the digital file from Etsy and got them printed at 18×24. I also added the rug which I got on amazon linked here. My office feels so much cozier and I love it!

I also added this super cute rug that was really affordable from Amazon, linked here. It really made the space cozier. Here are some after pictures:
